Automatic Brewer

Automatic Brewers are one of the most common ways of making coffee at home and vary in size and functions.  However, following this brew guide will result in consistent extractions and minimal "dialing in" on your part.

Recommended Instruments:

Electronic scale that displays grams
Burr grinder

Instructions:

1. Grind coffee to about a medium coarseness

2. Use a 1:16 coffee to water ratio. This means for every gram of coffee you should set your brewer (or fill water tank) to dispense 16 times that amount.  
Example: 50g coffee = 800g of water

Pro Tips:  

Adjusting grind size will control the flavor of the coffee

Adjusting the amount of coffee in relation to the amount of water will control the body of the coffee
